Scores:  Wind 6  Shooters 0

We had a low turnout yesterday - 2 shooters.

And, the wind was fierce, 16-25 mph with up to 40 mph gusts.  So, the two of did what any good schuetzen shooter would do - we broke out the iron sights, waved our fists at the sky and hollered "bring it on!".

After the first two targets we were both laughing so hard our eyes teared-up - now we couldn't see through the sights much less read the wind.

We produced no scoreable targets, but we had a lot of fun.  This isn't a half-bad sport when you don't take yourself too seriously.

I live in Nevada. The wind is ever-present. I learned to have fun and just enjoy a day like you two just had a long while back. It worked so well that I fully abandoned the notion of competing and just use these things for relaxing rehabilitation. I even got that way out hunting, where I'd see a nice buck and look at him through the scope, say "bang'' and get up and leave for the day back at camp.
