Avid gun collector and really enjoy shooting. Recently inherited a few older single shots. Still identifying and cataloging them, but wanted to share a few. Thanks

I will try and get some more pics this weekend, currently traveling for work. I know they are both Carl Stiegele rifles, I took a few pics of the markings to try and research a little.

Yes, very neat. There are a few Winchesters not pictured as well. Like stated still working on getting everything sorted.

Carl Stiegele was the maker to the Bavarian Royal Court and made many super rifles, most very ornate with the finest engraving and inlays of precious metals. The firm also made some plain rifles.

The first few pics are of the Stiegele, however after a closer look not sure the other is….it appears to say Herrmann Dillinger.

The Winchester rifle on top is a High Wall that looks like it has been rebarreled and restocked. Is there a name stamped or engraved on the top of the barrel?

The Winchester rifle on bottom is a Low Wall and looks like it could be in its original configuration.

Let’s return to your first photo and see a the two engraved Ballard rifles!
