Frank Wesson two trigger Calibers?

Hello: I just got a two trigger type 6 in .32RF only. I started some research for a comparison with my old type 1 on and have a dilemma. The Woods-Littlefield-Rowe compendium lists .32, .38 and .44RF (as well as .32 and .38 CF) My rifle slugs out at .415/.411. Any ideas if there were .41 RFs made? I see some exotic calibers listed but this is a plain old Kittridge era, but not so marked, gun that I have assumed for years was in .44. Thank you kindly, Wayne

I believe Chris has one and knows of others that were in 40 Wesson. I've come to believe that mine started out that way but my groove is .421 (or less).

LARRY:
Slugging the Wesson barrels can be mis-leading, if you don't remember that they are 5-groove barrels.  There were no "SAAMI" specs back in those days, and many makers had their own ideas about chamber dimensions.
One of my Wessons is believed to be a 40-40 Wesson caliber.  Very similar to the 44 Henry chamber, but made for an inside-lubricated bullet -- .440 chamber, .425 bullet.
If you are good at trigonometry, you can machine a v-block and can then mike the slugs, directly.   The late O.H. McKagan used to offer a free service of measuring slugs of odd-grooved barrels.

You can find a micrometer on Ebay for measuring 5 flute endmills also. Not cheap new, but used ones do come up.
