	A Modern Day Pope and if you haven't read the article about Ron Smith in the Black Cartridge Powder Cartridge News I highly recommend doing so.. Both have a very simplistic way and a means to do with what they probably both had on hand. For them to both work with at the time to be able to make their Gain Twist Barrels. Both are quite remarkably the same but they are also abit different in what they were able to come up with in thier own heads to go about doing it.

	Happy Birthday indeed Ron ! Been to his shop a couple times and got the tour - great guy, very willing to share his knowledge. As a "hobby machinist", looking at his equipment (mostly hand built himself), I'd say the guy is a mechanical genius - and a really nice guy to boot ! Hope he stays with us awhile longer !
