Remington never made their rolling block rifles with double set triggers.
All the DSTs were modifications done by gunsmiths such as Gove, Freund, and Ladd in that time period. King, Crosno, and Higggenbotham made DSTs for some time more recently. Unfortunately King is retired, and the other two have passed.
Virtually all the complaints regarding RB set trigger/s are about the Remington single set trigger. A cam over rather then a traditional set, they can be difficult to tune and often will not stay tuned.

Remington No. 1 rolling blocks appear with two styles of trigger guards.  The common one is more round.  The scarce one is more ovalized (see Joe Do...'s example in the first post) and always seems to have double set triggers in it.  If Remington didn't make rolling blocks with DST, what are those "wider" guards for?  Are they adapted from Hepburns?  Are they not Remington products at all?
