	I have one of those on a Fecker Scope. It is called a Heyer scope square.

	Kurt it appears it would minimize the amount of vertical and horizontal adjustments quite abit for long range use. Does that actually hold true based on your own experience.

	It appears that the elevation is the least affected, but if a problem, just use a higher rear base. I doubt the windage would be adversely affected.

Does that actually hold true based on your own experience. Increasing the size ( diameter ) of the tube reduces the travel of the adjustments. So the answer is yes. I think these were built to offer a finer accuracy in the contact surface of the adjuster face and round area of the tube. If you look through the evolution of the mounts, you will find flat discs, knife edged contacts and rounded contacts. The rare use of these Heyer mount would indicate that they were not that popular.

	When items like this were made available to shooters, there was not the amount of publicity that is available in todays world. The idea it would seem has merit, and I doubt very few were even aware of its existence. Overcoming the lesser amount of elevation available has a quite simple solution. At longer distances, I would think that there would be ample windage adjustment, as the amount of adjustment is multiplied.

I'm sure if there was YouTube and Hickok45 reviewed it back then and Buds Gun Shop sold them they couldn't make them fast enough!... I'm rather fond of it now that I've played with it.
