Is there anyone making a lead furnace in the 20-pound capacity suited for ladle casting?  There are a lot of 'bottom pour' furnaces, but I prefer just a regular furnace.  Digital preferred, without going broke.  Thanks.

Like most things these days you may have trouble finding one but the Lee 20# pot is/was available as a dipper. That is what I use and I built a pid to control the melt temp. I like the pot and the set up. Its nice to be able to fine tune the temp to the mold.

I have been using the Lyman Mag 35 for several years now. The only time I use the bottom pour spout on it is to occasionally completely drain the pot to give it a good cleaning. 
Several folks I know have got the RCBS pot with the digital, but it doesn't have a fan on the control box like the Lyman does so they have to go thru a cool down process before they shut it off. They are all super happy with it other than that.

My Lee 20LB with home made PID cost under $100 total. I have made a second PID for another Lee pot that I'm replacing the pot in. I wore through the edge of the pot (+20 years of use) and lee sent me a new pot for cost of shipping. Great company.

I picked up a Waage last year.  It's not in their catalog but you can ask them over the phone.  Great quality pot.

Id recommend the Waage also. I have a Rapine Stainless steel pot That I got when they were still in business. I belive they were made by Waage only in stainless.

I wonder if Waage would fix an old Rapine pot?  The heating element which is embedded in ceramic appears to be dead.  I will have to ask them.

I have a 25lb. Lyman Mag 25 Digital Pot but in all honesty I can cast the same quality match bullets. In my inexpensive Lee 20lb. ladle pouring pot and the Lyman pot is actually just a waste of hard earned money.

The nice people at Waage called this morning and said that they did not make the Pots for Rapine and do not repair them

I've been using the Lee Magnum Melter 20 lb pots and I like them.  A little under capacity for .45 cal bullets for my long range rifles, but perfect for schuetzen bullets or even my 400gr silhoutte bullets.

I have that Waage pot on the advice of the guys at Buffalo Arms.  They highly recommended it.  I haven't tried it yet, but probably will in the next 2 weeks.

Hard to beat the Lee 20 Lb. Ladle pouring Pot. I still have mine from 1998 when I bought it and it still works just fine. A friend gifted me a Lyman Mag 25 Digital Melting Furnace. But in all honesty it really isn't better and the Fan is already acting up and after only a couple of years of use. It will go down the road long before my inexpensive Lee 20 lb pot. In fact it is now for sale and before it quits working all together and the cost to fix is simply just not worth the cost. Same thing happened to my Waage Pot in fact they wouldn't even sell me the heating element to be able to fix it myself.
