I need to find a tang sight for my 22rf  No2 rolling block. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.

Is your rifle's tang already drilled and tapped?  Some aren't, at least not from the factory.

Maybe try a Wanted To Buy ad in the ForSale/Trade section.

The tang is drilled and tapped at the factory.

MVA, I think, makes a base shim on Remington's tang hole spacing that allows conventional tang sights to be adapted to the No. 2's quirky tang.

Thanks guys. I have searched for the proper lyman or Marbles tang sight but they seem to be out of stock everywhere.

Probably because they have not been made since before WWII.  Refer to the sound advice given about the MVA sight.

Lyman and Marble's have been making tang sights once again, but quite sure not for the No 2 Remington, and not up to the old standards.IMNSHO

Likely because they are made in China as are most things Lyman these days.
Very sad to see venerable old USA companies move their production to China.

I have a modern Marbles bought new less than ten years ago on a No2. It was the "remington rolling block" version and it sits just fine on the No2 tang. (factory drilled)

it is not as nice a sight as the old ones, but it fits and works.

Wherever they’re made, they are crudely constructed and loosey-goosey; wobbling from side-to-side and lots of slop in the elevation adjustment.

I bought one cheap, used from a dissatisfied owner; all the parts still in the original box, to check out a reline job.  I was pretty alarmed at the target until I folded it down and tried the barrel sights, which shrunk the groups fired from tea saucer to shot glass rim.  Some diligent searching at gun shows got me an old Lyman tang sight, and groups shrunk below shot glass bottom.

The “new” sight is back in its foam-lined orange plastic box, with extra aperture and screws slightly used, awaiting its next victim.
