Low Wall in 38-55

Thought I had found a custom built Low Wall, set trigger, new barrel and new good looking wood at what I thought was a reasonable price in 38-55.
Looked at previous post's here and Left it alone.

Find yourself a modern nickel steel thick side hiwall with a small firing pin large shank rifle with a modern high pressure alloy steel barrel.
Then you'll be safe.   Smiley

Don't even consider a Ballard or Aydt rifle or any of the weaker actions. They are not for everyone.  Wink

Don't think C. Sharps will build you a new 38-55 on their modern Low Wall receiver. Says something about putting a larger centerfire cartridge in a Low Wall action. They don't want the liability for doing so. Get a High Wall action. Safe with about any cartridge you want.
