Does anyone know how long MVA is going to be closed? I ordered a front globe sight that was supposed to be in stock in November. Now I can't even get through to a person there.

I thought they usually closed for the holidays just before Christmas, and New Years? Not sure when they usually reopen?

I called and talked the girl at MVA mid-day today, and ordered a fistful of small parts.

MVA is experiencing production delays just like so many others these days.
I just received a rear sight that took about six weeks from the time it was ordered.
Be patient, it’s worth the wait. Their sights are top quality.

Unless you called verify it was in stock, there really is no way to tell online reliably.

If you paid by credit card, check to see if you have been charged. They don’t charge until it’s built and time to ship. They may have a pre-authorization to hold funds, but it won’t be a charge.

I got the impression they're pretty well stocked with small action parts. Can't speak to their other products.

A month ago, I ordered some single set trigger parts for a low wall project I’m working on. I talked to Cheryl at MVA, and ordered the parts. About two weeks later, I called her again, and she said the order was being held up for the single set trigger adjustment screw, which was in production at that time. This week I called her again and she said they were still waiting on the adjustment screw, so I told her to just hit my card for the balance, and ship what they had. That was on Monday of this week. Yesterday, I received a well packed box with all the parts I needed (with the exception of the adjustment screw). I have been doing business with MVA since they first opened. They produce an excellent product at reasonable prices, but are being hampered by production/supply shortages ,just like everyone else.
Great folks to do business with, and Cheryl is the best!

I had an order get split up kind of like TDW talked about any it included a wrong part on the order. I called to get it sorted out and ordered a new sight at the same time. I asked if it was ok to send a check with the return to pay for the sight.

A few bank statements later the check had not cleared, no sight had arrived, so I called. I kind of had to argue with Cheryl to get her to deposit the check before they could ship the sight.
She did not want the money until the job was complete, I did not want a problem with the check if it was deposited past the date of some crazy bank deadline.

It really adds to the confidence level dealing with a business like that.

I love MVA sights, and dealings with MVA too! Not every company in the gun parts business is like MVA!
I had a recent dealing with another that quoted me a price for a new base, plus shipping; then overcharged me for both the base and the shipping. When I called the owner acted like I was a tightwad for wanting the overcharge reversed on my credit card. Last time I'll buy from him.

We are fortunate to have high quality & honest suppliers like MVA, Hoke, Shiloh & C. Sharps, CPA and a few others. They may not be perfect but always make it good in the end.

Hey, Marlinguy.   Would you care to save us being ripped off by whoever that was by letting us know where not to order sights and/or sight bases.
