Hepburn at auction question

Happy New Years to all
There is a Remington Hepburn for sale at auction, and states
"Remington Hepburn Pat. 1879 patent date. 32-1 5/8 cal"
My question is, is this a 32-40 or 32-30? some sites have referenced that it could be either. Undecided

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

That's the .32-30 designation Remington used on later guns.

You're welcome. I can't say as I've run across a Hepburn in that chambering. Surely somewhat unusual.
