Thank you for posting that list of shooters who have passed. As I read the names, memories come flooding back. Your post gives pause to consider the past and remember old friends. Quite appropriate here at year's end.

There are indeed two Americas. Simply put, it is not the haves and have nots. The two Americans are in reality divided into those who do and those who don't.

Roland Groppe has not passed and he just recently shot a match. His scores were posted on this site just recently.

Sorry comments on the grapevine must have been wrong and his name has been removed.
Many Canadians bought Roland's designed X nose spired bullet mold, and we remember the day he shot the bee at Raton and his attempt to put a RKS gain twist barrel on his action backwards.
He also came to our Canadian shoot.

You can also add Neil Honeychurch to the list and also  Dave Fowler. Both were very active local Schuetzen competitors.

Also missed Barry Darr and Chuck Cleave who also took over the JSL Schuetzen lube from Jesse Smiley.

Please feel free to add names of people you knew and stories you might wish to share..
The list above were people I have shot and knew from Schuetzen competitions at The Canadian ISSA Nationals, ISSA Nationals or Regionals or Tommy Mason's Stars & Stripes Schuetzen Range.
I used Barnett bullet molds when I started the Schuetzen game but I never met Jerry.

Dale Casner……..met him through Jim McLemore, and Dale sold me my first SS rifle. (my match gun, the Darr 32/40 #1 Ruger which I’m still shooting ) at what I now know was a very reasonable price.   He also took the time to coach and instruct me .  Dale had a wealth of the most entertaining and sometimes unbelievable stories, and is missed.

Too many rifles.....not enough money
