Maybe release a super hero movie, where the gender questionable star saves the world using great grandpas wall hanger. using home made powder and bullets made from melted down nose rings and ear gauges.
Then market all the action figures along with the video game before the movie comes out.
Honestly, and I’ve said this before here, the problem isn’t so much what you’re trying to sell, as it is the people trying to sell it.
I read this forum for a number of years before joining to participate. Participated here for another few years before going to my first shoot.
I’m only 60, but have been loading and shooting antiques and single shots for more than 50 years. First rifle that was truly mine, I still own and shoot, 25 RF Favorite. So participating was never a matter of lack of interest, materials or space.
The problem is the so called ambassadors and keepers of the knowledge on this forum. There are a number of people who won’t take part here because of the bickering that goes on. If you don’t want to be around them online, you won’t want to be in the same county in person.
I would have never gone to a shoot if someone here had not assured me that no one that shoots there, posts here.
Never mind that schedules, rules and requirements are hard to find.
It’s an interesting dynamic to watch unfold.
Yes I’m an ASSRA member and have been for a few years. I’m here to learn history, tips on shooting, collecting, and comradeship. Like they say, 3 of 4 ain’t bad.
Lots of good people here. It’s a shame a few really do get in the way, or drive away people when at the same time are espousing the death of the niche little corner of the shooting world they occupy.
Social media like this is often more about finding like minded people you want to be around. I’m not sure this forum in present form is a shining example of that.
Just one man’s opinion.
By the way, I have very thick skin and flame retardant underwear, have at it if you feel the need.
