Breaking into a gun shop seems risky

Even today we read stories about people breaking into gunshops but it seems to me you stand a very good chance of being shot.

Below is an article on thieves breaking into A.O. Zischang's shop which was under his residence!

They don't operate like that anymore. Now they just walk in while everyone is there and smash and grab what they want and walk out. Nobody even runs anymore. We've fallen a long way down with no bottom in site. ratseye
