I have enjoyed this forum for years. I generally skip over the posts from the know everything about everything guys, but really enjoy relevant information or old stuff that has been lost in my 84 year old information brain bank. I found the PID posts most interesting. I have seldom made comments on the forum, but have enjoyed selling surplus barrels, stocks, reamers, wad punches I have made, etc. I have also bought a few things I enjoyed. Now, my complaint. When I tried to list a 45/120 sharps reamer for sale it was noted that I needed 10 posts to do this. So, I guess I will bore you with about 75 years of shooting experience until I get the required number of posts. Hope the covid doesn't get me first!
Still with humor, Oldwyo

Well I could use a 28 caliber wad punch if you’re still making them, but I don’t know if I want to wait 5 years at the rate you’re posting!
If you let me know either way, that might at least cut another year off the wait

I am slow. Can't seem to improve on it. Am also old, but am working as hard as I can to reverse this. Planning a trip to Sarasota Springs, Fl where Ponce De Leon hung out!

If it was a little smaller reamer I'd be sending you a message. I'm in need of a .44-100 Ballard reamer, and new ones are pretty expensive!

I'd like to hear a few of the old stories you mentioned. Heck, sittin' by the stove and yakkin' is a time-honored part of shooting and hunting. Maybe save ya the cost of that trip to Flowreeduh. Nothin' there for the most part 'cept alligators and left wingers. And Rebel.

And, put a post on the Demographics thread. Then you'll only have 4 to go!

Don't know where the demographics thread is, but I hang out in a small Wy town just north of Sheridan,Wy I have no really fancy single shots, but do own three shilo sharps, 3 Single Shot, Inc high walls, some Winchester high and low walls, a couple of rolling blocks, and a Stevens Favorite! Best I ever did when I was actively shooting was 4th in the Quigly, first in the match at Broadus, Mt (about 200 shooters in its heyday) and also ran finishes in a bunch of matches where I think they just felt sorry for me!

I'm still using the 2 wad punches that I got from you. Thanks for the help.

Maybe a photo of one of the ugly, match winning rifles

No discount for locals? Plus shipping should be almost free for a neighbor.

Hi Oldwyo! If you're looking to make things for others (at a profit, of course) I'd be interested in a lube-sizer die for my Seaco lubrisizer in 0.462" size!
Think of all the fun you would have making and selling it!
PM me if you want the challenge and financial gain!
Thanks!

Sir - I have made some Lyman bullet sizing dies for myself, and they turned out ok. I have a little heat treating furnace, but have just hardened dies with a dip in casenite. This leaves a very thin hardened surface. I am not a trained machinist, but enjoy tinkering. It takes me twice as long to get anything done as the average person. If you want me to give it a try, contact me with a personal message. I don't charge for mistakes, and I make a lot of them. Oldwyo

I think it would be simpler to buy the largest Lyman lubrisizer in something around .457" and just open it up a skosh to get to the .462" you need.
