At the risk of driving farther into the weeds, I too am intrigued by the notion of .22RF breech seating, and am pursuing it in two directions - both with rimfire primed brass and centerfire brass. With the faint murmurings I've heard on the subject maybe enough interest can be drummed up to create an occasional 100 yard event at some matches. (I've stopped trying to chase the 200 yard will-o-the-wisp with 40 grain .22 bullets.)

It's really frustrating, that's why it's so much fun. Wayne

Here’s what I think can’t prove. From observation, no definitive testing

Muzzle one thing on target at 200 yards is were speed counts. 32/40 About 1450 at muzzle is “usually” Super Sonic on target.

1450 FPS MV Bullet can be dropping to Sub Sonic on impact if it’s cold or the targets actually more than 200, 200 meters for example. In transition they wobble & it shows with slightly oblong holes . I don’t worry much about it offhand but bench rest it will open groups. Breech seating put a few clicks on the measure holes go nice and round. Larger rounds 38/55 & the like slower MV transition to Sonic Sonic mid range & “go to sleep” before impact

We shoot some 200 Rimfire SV offhand playing, good conditions do well, nearly as well as CF, little breeze not so well. It is a lot of fun and will hone your wind skills. Be difficult to run a proper match, high chance of luck strikes depending on conditions.

Every Rifle is different so one needs to figure out what it likes the best. Me personally I have had real good success with a 15 twist Douglas barrel with an average velocity of 1474 fps. In my own 32-40 CPA Schuetzen Jr in 32-40 that I bought back in 1998 in benchrest matches. It is has now been re-barreled by me to a 25-35 with a new half octagon to round #3 10 twist Douglas Blank that I bought from Gail at CPA. I am still shooting that same rifle today and if I could share anything positive to pass onto others it would be to pick one rifle and stay it with it. Allot has already been said about being able to understand the wind, mirage and etc. and being able to compensate for it. But in all honesty developing muscle memory is to me the most important aspect of it all for me. Once you can get your rifle being able to complete competitively. Just stick with it and don't change anything and just go out as much as you can to develope your own muscle memory.

Might add I did have a few in between over the past 23 years + and all though I was able to get them to all shoot. But in all honestly all of muscle memory was developed with my  CPA. So they were all actually a non necessary challenges for me to try and to compete with and all are now long gone.

Speed and point shape are directly related. The pointier the bullet the faster it wants to travel for best accuracy. When I started Pope style flat nosed bullets were still the fashion and everybody "knew" that you couldn't make those pointy bullets shoot. Others began to question some of those old beliefs and started using semi spitzers and shooting faster and it worked!

Pointed is not always the best and neither is longer / heaver using a faster twist.
Why would I say such a thing just look at CW Roland was able to accomplish it lasted for what some 30 years.
I also set my ASSRA Record shooting a Darr Flat Nose bullet of about what I believe was only about 190 grains.
It was also in a 15 twist Douglas and also in 32-40. And it  is just abit more wind sensitive but it also seems to be consistently abit more stable in its flight.
As Mann had proven back in his day it really is all about the bullets flight.
And of course the abilities of who it is who is actually behind a particular rifle.
John D Kelly would be an excellent good examples of that and unlike CW Rowland his accomplishments were while he was shooting in competitive Benchrest matches.

my 200 yard scores improved markedly when I hit upon keeping trans sonic out to 200.  1475 or so works for my 32-40 208 RN in a Shilen 1-14 barrel.
