The Pedersoli I referred to is used with smokeless powder exclusively. I have a Shiloh Sharps and Hi-Wall that i use only BP in and for the most part wipe between shots with a delrin rod. A gong match I attend is  timed so I do get 10 shots without wiping at that event. My interest comes in cleaning thoroughly and have found that the heavy SS rod I made allows me to force a tighter cleaning patch down the barrel ultimately doing, I think, a better job. My issue has only been with the Pedersoli rifle/barrel.
I can't tell you how helpful this forum has been for me. Living in NH, the closest bpcr silhouette match is in western Pa. I do not know of any other avid bpcr shooters so all my info comes from books and forums, and this is one of the very best.

I am still interested in what you found out about your sight and would like to see a picture of it mounted.

Pedersoli sights are funky. The sight on my Pedersoli Gibbs could not be layed down. It stuck up like a sore thumb. I changed it out for a Lee Shaver Soule style sight.

Ditch the funky sight.
