Appears to been ordered with the wood fitted but left unshaped or finished per customer’s request. I think the Shuttleworths have been producing rifles unfinished for years.

Looks to me like some clever chap ran as much of the CNC program for a Model 51 stock as possible, leaving the cheekpiece to be finished by the customer.  Which he obviously never did.

I bid to $1850, the most I felt it was worth. Final hammer price was $3525. I guess I have lost touch with the price of German Schuetzen rifles or the 10 I have, have increased in price a lot more than I thought.

I think the selling price of that rifle is an anomaly; prices on schuetzen rifles have been on a downward trend for a while now. I'm talking German schuetzens, not American made.
