In addition, the wood working  is almost no existent on the rifle for sale compared to the magazine pictures

I like it and will bid on it, but my guess it will go for more than I am willing to pay.
I buy them to shoot, don’t give a hoot about carving & inlays. My last purchase on Gun Broker was reasonable, but that was before the sales tax went into affect, $200 sales tax influences my buying decisions. I like “buy it now” as I can make an immediate decision. The carved dogs head is quite common on German schuetzen rifles. Someone will think that is special and bid it up. Thanks for the link, I would have missed it.

Actually surprised that there is no reserve. One could only imagine how many hours were actually spent in building it. I personally do not have any interest in it myself but thanks for sharing the link just to be able take alook at it.

Price is in the ballpark, IMHO. Plain truth, 22’s don’t bring nearly as much $ as equivalent  quality 8.15x46 guns. I have looked at several, last couple years of similar quality.
Probably won’t help that barrel was drilled for blocks, seems to be non OEM front sight.

I am current high bidder. I live in Kansas about a hundred miles from the seller, so, if I win, I will drive down save the shipping. I would like to find a good .22, I have several 8.15x46.

Here's another .22 if you don't get that one:

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

I checked with Gail; Paul really did build it - in 1998.

Most interesting to me is that it's apparently one of the very first rifles to have a 2-digit model #.  (It was configured as a Model 45 with DST option when Paul started on it.)

Paul actually built what?
It would be hard to believe the stock has anything to do with his own work or that of his shops.
It an absolute disaster!!!!

Appears to been ordered with the wood fitted but left unshaped or finished per customer’s request. I think the Shuttleworths have been producing rifles unfinished for years.

Paul installed this barrel & chambered it for 28-30-120 on my 044 1/2 DST action. He also furnished the wood unfinished, sometime in the 90s, don’t remember the exact date.
