A client sent a Browning 1885 Trapper Model in 45-70 in for a little modification. Not my typical build but this is what he wanted. The caliber is the fairly new 350 Legend, as he lives in a state limiting what caliber and type of cartridge is allowed to hunt deer. He specified a 20 inch octagon to round barrel with flutes and no taper. Mounted full length on the top flat is a Picatinny rib with a Burris scout scope 2X7 magnification. All metal components including the scope were Cero-Koted in the Tungsten color giving it a silver gray appearance. It is quite heavy for such a short rifle but recoil is nonexistent and it was very accurate when I was test firing it. If nothing else it will be good for a chuckle to the true single shot lover.

But the barrel needs to be threaded for a silencer.

I have one in  38-55 and it's a very accurate though a bit hard to shoot tiny groups with to do its nimble size.
  With plainbase 250-275g bullets running around 1200 it's not hard to get 2 minutes of angle with the barrel sights.

gwahir  I guess I can be difficult at times as well, but the rifle wasn't built for you, so no need to worry! I am quite sure the person it was built for is quite happy.
