           Light winds – probably the best we've had for a long time.  We should have all shot 250's, but the light smoke from the fires up north made                                    
           target definition a little rough – especially with the irons.  A little warm (high of 104) but not too bad for the first relays.

Interesting results, seems like Mr Hartwig is the man to beat, same brand rifle as my 40-60, obviously a man of taste.
There seemed to be a shortage of BP shooters, is there some reason for that ?.

No real reason for not using BP other than fouling control in the small cartridges most of us use. I have a 40-50 SS project that I plan to use BP in, if I ever get it finished.

If you do get round to trying BP in a small cartridge please let me know how it goes, I'm considering a 32.40 to reduce lead and powder usage and recoil. Having to clean between shots is no problem to me as I've been doing it for 65 years.
