Thanks you guys, but Ted Tompkins won the king match, so Ted is king. Don't think anyone got a picture of the king target. Dang!

Thank you Bitterroot for keeping offhand matches alive. I'm enjoying knowing that Schuetzen is alive and well.

Back in the day John and I just can't do it anymore. Most out my way have now turned to Schuetzen 200 yard Benchrest as we have talked about. There are no more Offhand Matches here but hopefully they might come back with allot younger folks than myself.

My stroke back in 2011 did me Joe. One could only hope to be as blessed as this gentleman himself. Not complaining Joe life does goes on and I am just happy to still be alive and still being able to shoot. But now I have to do it by sitting on my A-s.

It has only stopped from shooting Offhand. And not something that I would wish on my worst enemies to have to go through. But that is just the way that I am even though there are some who might deserve the same.

Joe do you remember any of these folks. Pat Weber unfortunately cannot be clearly seen. I believe you might have been there that year and then again maybe not?

Yep sure did and here it is.
LtoR not sure who is on bench one might be Niel Honeychurch, Duane Jenner, Pat Weber, Paul Lambert, Steve Barber, Roland Groppe and Dave Fowler.

Have you ever seen him stop and take a break. Steve is a super nice guy and he doesn't shy away from having a friendly conversation and its typically a long one at that. One of the few who is still shooting for well over 20 years now and a good guy to be around.

I believe the last time I had the pleasure of being around him was at the 2006 CBA National event in Springfield Oregon.

Steve was at Spokane this year.  I was sick with bronchitis and left after the first day.  Steve and Mel Harris were too hot staying in the "bunkhouse" so they left as well.  Mel would give Steve a run for the most prolific talker.  The two together...well.

I liked that Mel. He was a good talker and a nice guy.  I thought they left because they got yelled at. It wasn't that hot. They could have went to town and got a motel. On second thought there were no vacancies at any motels anywhere. They should have went to a hardware store in town and bought a in window air conditioner for Tommys "bunkhouse" Used it and then donated it.

Someone elses hindsight is always 20-20.  Next year!

I also shot with Mel at the 2006 CBA National event. Super nice Guy and if memory serves me right we also shared the same bench at that match. He was shooting in a different class and it was the unlimited class if memory serves me right. But I could also have him confused with somebody else but we did have time to visit abit.

It probably was him. He said he shoots CBA unlimited class.

Jack I do know we visited with each other and he is one hell of a very nice guy! I just can't be 100% sure that we actually shared the same bench at that match. Mel for those who might know has actually been a very long term CBA competitor. And he was extremely good with whatever he chose to shoot back during that time and he might even still be now. Might be wrong but I heard those matches like our own here no longer exist and his were being held at the Emerald Empire Range in Springfield Oregon and I believe I got that name right?

Most likely as he said he runs CBA matches in southern Oregon.
