Why .25 Caliber

Why is the  International Schützenfest for .22 and .25 Caliber only?? what happened to the other calibers that I read many others shoot? I get the .22 as many matches have sessions set for them around the country. I thought I was headed in the right direction buying a 32-40.

577 Nitro, you are headed in the right direction.  The rimfire and .25 cal matches are specialty matches held at the International Schützenfest.  The four main matches are IS BR, IS OH, AS BR, and AS OH.  These are open to all the calibers.

OK!, thank you for the enlightening. I am starting to understand the various breakdowns of classes....as a youngster I always wanted a 257 Roberts. I might need one now Smiley

You might better keep learning the rules a bit before you jump on the Bob.

I have been doing just that, and did not see .25 for ISSA ,just .22
and that was the reason for my question

577,

check out the "Quarter Bore" matches.  I have several friends out here that shoot a 25-20 wcf in competition.

I'll surely do that, and thank you,
