If memory serves me right the lyman #3 has about 8 powders listed, tell me which powders you have and will post them.

Mainly the pin holding the swinging block in the trigger guard plus the pin holding the trigger block into the receiver can have the pins  pound out the holes they reside in from excessive recoil pressure.
Remember this lightweight rotating block is not encased in a solid metal channel on four sides like a High Wall.

Actually, those pins aren' stressed when shooting, they aren't supposed to take any recoil.  The rifle would even fire safely without that pin. That's called good design.

That's what I was thinking, Gert. It would certainly be true for the large actions. Maybe the Cadet has enough clearance between the insert and the frame that greater back thrust could lead to case stretching.

That would be the case with the Nepalese ones, not with the Brit versions.  They lock like a bank vault tolerance wise.

I have a 30-30 and shooting the Lee soup can 115 grns.
3 grains bullseye with a 1/2" sq toilet paper on powder works o.k.

In my  310 cadet with 120 gns I use 2 grains bullseye for a quiet load 3 grains is plenty enough I think.

If you want some milder plinking/small game  loads.
