I now shoot a 25 Caliber in Schuetzen Benchrest and even in the harshest of mirage our range is famous for. I can still see my bullet holes at 200 yards with my $100.00 at the spotting scope. And my eyes are starting to even get worse. I am with Joe when it comes to 200 yards and the ASSRA Rules as was pointed out by Jeff Schultz apparently does allow the use of cameras for competitive use. Myself I could careless so if there is now a cause for a rule change so let it be.

Just to listen to what others have to say. Myself I could careless to what ever the outcome might actually be. Those folks are supporting the ASSRA and it has nothing at all to do with me but for them.

At the regional at Spokane a .25 bullet hole can and has been very difficult for me to see over the years.   A camera in that situation would be very welcome.

Rule change?

Don't have a clue about rule changes that is up to the ASSRA Board of Director's to decide. Myself I really don't care whatever it is that they might decide?

Joe,

We need an ISSA rule change to allow Shoot-N-C targets at 200 for the 25 cal matches.

And for 200 yard .22 matches. Wait a minute, this is the ASSRA forum, not ISSA.  Yer slippin, Jack. Grin

If you use the back side of the ASSRA score target. The black side bullet holes are allot easier to see in the white background. With the exception of the 25 ring and it being way to thick. Bullet holes can get lost in it and then not be seen. So I would like to see it changed to the same size as the 24, 23 and 22 rings and it would then be ideal for the smaller calibers. Especially so when having allot of mirage and it also makes the mirage allot easier to see and to also read. Unfortunately they can be more difficult to see in the red background on the other side.

There's no doubt about it now, John, you need a target camera.

Last time I checked we shoot 200 yard .22RF Matches in our program at every ASSRA match at Etna Green, as part of the CF Matches and the RF Only Matches.

Yes, Portside, that's true.  I won it one year at Etna Green with a 243-6c. First match I shot the Martini slayer in.  Took me an hour to mount a scope on the darn thing and five minutes to shoot the target.

What I meant for Jack was he shouldn't be plugging the ISSA on the ASSRA forum.   Smiley
But as long as we're treading on the ISSA,  Smiley, they should make IS .22 100 yard targets available for IS shooters.

We do.  We just use the ASSRA target, black side out.
