This month's Journal hit a home run.
Greg's Damascus eyepieces are beautiful and really like the knurling around the edge. Don't think I will try it in Damascus.
Richard Binger's Maynard copy is interesting. Hard to tell if it was built ten years ago or a hundred years ago. Nice work.

Thanks for the comment, I usually get my copy late in the month so I'm anxiously awaiting to see what Richard wrote.   
Making the eyepiece is a just a process, once you finish making all the scrap pieces they do become "simple" except for the odd one or two that don't turn out.   
I've been thinking I'd make a few extra on my next run and have a few to peddle at the C-Springs (Denver) show- but I don't seem to get ahead, I have sights and guns needing some so it's a doubtful I'll come up with any extra.
