Well you brought a very good point. No matter how good ones wind indicators are. It is actually just as important to watch those to the left and those to the right to see what is
now heading your way before it gets to your own shooting lane during a wind change.

Given that I am generally the only one to run wind flags, most club members at the ABPMLC just watch mine  Grin

I put up seven flags and it confuses everyone which one is guiding my decisions.
I use them to confuse the opposition.

Our benches are about five feet center to center apart. And the shooting lane just to the right and the shooting lane just to the left of ones owns shooting bench. Will typically have the wind flags doing something completely just the opposite of each other including your own. Yet some folks will try to use someone elses flags and not put any of their own out. And yet they will wonder why their shots are not going to where they should be going as they continue to drop more points. Because their conditions are in no way the same as those conditions that are only in your own shooting lane.

Ahh, yes, but as the conditions change so much on our range( that one where they were each pointing 180* opposite to the next one was impressive) whilst shooting, it also pays to watch the warning flag, branches on trees and the grass(weeds) and then it’s still a gamble what will happen  Shocked

Plus if someone else is watching yours you now have real a big edge. This I should have mentioned is in regards to 200 yard Schuetzen matches and for both offhand and bench.
