Christmas in June

Went to the PO to pick up a package from CPA today. I sent my 44 1/2 in for double set triggers, a loop lever, a CF breechblock and an exhibition grade Model 52 semi-finished buttstock with Neidner style buttplate. I am thrilled with the results. This action is now part of a 3 barrel set, a 25/35Imp, 218 Mashburn Bee and my 25 cal QBee. I can hardly wait to finish the stock, but I probably wont start on it until winter. I am really anxious to see what the double set triggers will now do to improve bench groups. The original butchered trigger, even with several rework attempts, was just short of awful.

If breech seating the 25-35 Improved for benchrest shooting and if having a 10 twist barrel and a 120 grain spitzer I can share a couple of real competitive loads for you to try.

John,
I only use the 25/35 Imp barrel for deer hunting. I am becoming more and more intolerant of recoil and muzzle blast off the bench anymore, which is why I have chambered everything in last couple of years to small cases, 25/20SS, 218 Mashburn Bee, 25 QBee, etc. As a favor, I agreed to sight-in an Ultralight 308 for a friend last fall. After the second shot, I handed it back to him and told him he was on his own. Recoil felt like a 338WinMag in that little plastic rifle.
