Not sure what " O O" is on the receiver face or the circle "I" in the side?

I associate the circled "I" with rifles built after Savage bought Stevens but don't know what it signifies.

Like the "EX" stamp, a single "O" is frequently seen, but, again, there seems to be no definitive explanation for what they mean.   As for the double "O" stamp, I've seen it once before but the "O"s were horizontal.  In either configuration, I have not heard [u]any[u] conjecture as to their meaning.

What seems more unusual to me, is that there is no 44 1/2 stamp, or higher grade stamp, on the opposite side of the 0’s. By chance is the lower tang stamped with the model number? I am too slow, I see you already answered my question.
