	Started my own first project back in the seventh grade and I have been around firearms all of my life. Did it turn out right no but it still shot good and I learned allot. It is very unfortunate for those on this site to continue to rag on somebody elses work. This is in no way what this site was intended to do but to introduce others into breech seating and the know how on how to go about it all.

	You're trying to compare what's globbed on this barrel to what Peter does with his micro process tig welding? That's funny. No, I'm trying to point out that not all welders and not all welding techniques lead to, as you claimed earlier, ruined barrels. Bill Lawrence

You quoted my comment that the barrel on this gun was "ruined" as if to say you doubted it was? So I'm getting mixed messages from you. You even stated it was "not necessarily ruined"?? Do you still doubt it's ruined, or do you think that gob of weld didn't hurt it?

	Since I haven't actually examined the gun, I don't know if the barrel's damaged or not. But I certainly won't assume it is simply because it might be. Bill Lawrence

	Not really worth arguing over as it might inadvertently end up causing hard feeling towards somebody else. Myself I could not say for certain if it is welded to barrel while also enlarging the picture to try and get a close enough look. Bottom line is if it is or is not it is still what it is and there is no way of knowing for sure what that glob might actually be or is being used for.

I enlarged it enough to see the rear sight base was dovetailed into the barrel, and for whatever reason the ends were then welded to the barrel? I'm guessing it was shifting side to side, and somebody had no idea how to properly fix it, so they got out there mig, or maybe stick welder and made sure it was going to move.

	Bidding is up over $900 now. I did consider bidding and rescuing or saving this rifle, which is worth while I think, but I am out of the bidding before I started.
