Picked up a cadet at a gun store recently. Broken buttstock, no buttplate, broken rear sight and rechambered to 32-20. Bore looked great, no pitting on receiver and the price was really cheap. I had a couple slabs of mesquite I had cut at the ranch many years ago. Figured it would make a nice stock. Used a piece of Texas ebony for the forend tip. Rust blued the barrel, new sights and added a checkered buttplate.
The bore slugs .320. I made a die to fatten up some .323cast bullets to .321. I'll see how it shoots tomorrow.

The small Martini and the 32-20, a favorite combo! Like the BP.

Thanks to all. I was able to shoot a few rounds this past weekend. It shot very well with the .321 diameter bullets. I had made a die that I could use in my arbor press to compress the 115 grain .313 bullets I had to .321. Decided to make a pin to produce hollow points.

Nice work! I have a soft spot for the Martini cadet rifles and for custom rifles made on that action. Many moons ago I had a nice custom rifle, but let it go in a trade.
My current Martini Cadet is all original. I enjoy shooting it.
