	I was in Great Northern Guns in Anchorage AK, and saw 2 Stevens 44 1/2 Schutzen (ya, I spelled it wrong) rifles for sale. Both were 32-40 as I remember, one was around $6K the other more, closer to $10. Both were beautiful. The store owner is selling some of his collection. If you are interested call and ask to talk to the owner.

	You use those prices to show your wife what a smart investor you have been. Ain't ya learned nothing? The other thing you do is start oohing and awing about a $10k rifle, then she is relieved when you buy a $2k rifle. It's called strategy.

	Just the name HM Pope on the barrel is not the only thing that can make an original rifle a highly priced collectable.

	Freedom is not a commodity to be bought or sold, but a concept. You are right, but many have paid dearly for the freedom Alaska offers.
