i just spent my government voter bribe money on a Browning traditional hunter in 30-30 Winchester. i was wondering if anyone had one and if they had a cast bullet accuracy load. I read a post that said only 300 in 30-30 were made. i really doubt that them made that few but i sure havent seen another one. joe g.

i honestly paid too much for it but for some reason i just wanted it. since my first single shot i have become addicted to them. The 45-70 flat kicks more than i like but the 30-30 should be pleasant to shoot. The throat may need to be reamed but i own a 30 cal throater. Yesterday i bought it today i paid my dealer sent his ffl and it was shipped that is service you just dont get. now i need to load a few rounds because it should be her late next week. joe g.

It occurred to me that depending on the twist of that TH,
you might want to go with the shorter 311291 RN bullet- originally designed for the 30-30
And play with plus or minus around that charge weight

i think i will get cases primed and ready to load and when i get the rifle i can do a cast of the throat and just see if it needs anything.  also until i get the rifle there is no way to know seating depth or if the chamber will accept with a larger diameter and still chamber.
