Nice, reasonable too. Did Stevens Pope rifles serial #'s start where Hartford #'s ended ?
I just tried to send the sell a msg and got this error msg
"You are unable to send email to this recipient because the recipients account at this auction site has been disabled. For security reasons email cannot be sent to disabled accounts".

The pictured highwall looks like it is displayed the same way that       Jim Goergen displays his rifles for sale on GI. Goergen lives in Minnesota, not Oregon!

Yes it is Jim Goergen’s rifle, same pictures as on Goergen’s listing on GI #101581261.

Ballards may be weaker,

Yes, I was looking at it on GB, and searched feedback and saw the reports! Yikes! Then noticed it said he was no longer a registered member?
These auction scammers are what makes me leery of buying anything on the various online auction sites. Seems high probability that if you did it enough you'll eventually get scammed.

Most interesting.  I just wanted to learn the # of the S-P barrel.  All either "Scam" or A+ comments.  Makes me think the A+ folks are shills.
