Wow! Lots of interesting stuff there that us single shot people like. Did your dad collect and shoot the single shots? Looks like he was quite a collector of tools and accessories too!

Yep and I have been lucky enough to get all of his guns but I am more of a shooter than a collector (plus I don't have the room to keep it all).

Are those some Berdan re-and-decappers on the shelf with the moulds?

Wow good question where is it located and it might be best to sell as one lot if someone interested is in your area.

If I recall correctly you're in Australia or New Zealand? Might be some hefty shipping to get things here, especially if the amount was large.

Those things with the mushroom type head in the one picture appear to be bullet seaters.  They are in high demand by collectors.  Also, that cylindrical nickel plate thing on the right side of the picture looks like an old powder measure.

You are correct Mr.Frog it is an Ideal No.1 powder measure or flask depending on which book you read. Also correct on the bullet seaters most are 8.15 x 46/47R and a couple of 9.5 x 47R there may be another less common calibre amongst them as well, been a while since I have pulled them all out to look.

I think you should keep them, you don’t need to have a lounge room......although your other half may have a different opinion..... Smiley

Should you decide to part with the German Schuetzen sights, I would be interested, it is a fine collection, were it mine, I would probably keep it all, but then I’m a hoarder.
