Found these pictures a few days ago so thought I'd show them here.  They were taken by a friend so I never had digital copies of it but now I do.

A rifle as good as it gets and with all of the charm seldom found.
Thanks for sharing it!

Rumor has it, there's a flint shortage. Is that possible? No.  Grin

Nice rifle!

Flintlock long rifles were the first firearms I loved.  So I take my hat off to the maker of that fine rifle, bobw, and I hope it was you.

Bill, yes this is my build.  The barrel, lock, butt plate and trigger guard are not mine (I have no casting equipment) but everything else is made by me.  Stocked from a blank of curly maple.  Getz barrel in 45.

Westerner, no shortage of flints here!  If there were I have a friend that can chip them out.

Thanks everyone.  I do appreciate the comments.

I'm not very knowledgeable on ML rifles, but that's absolutely stunning! It has so much character, and warmth to the look!

I've got a .40 caliber Vincent with a Bill Large 4 J's barrel, and that's the only ML rifle I have.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words!

Marlinguy, I always said I would not make anymore than one of a gun style.  But, I have built 3 vincents, one for myself, another for a family member and the last for very good friend but only because he just about begged me to do it.  They are all based off the measurement from an original.

John, no, this gun has not been shot.  It was built for my grandkids and one of them will be the first to shoot it if they choose to.  I have a 32 and a 50 that I shoot.

Nice to hear its for the grandkids! I have handed down firearms to my son and one each to my grandsons. One of the great grandsons got a Red Ryder BB Gun and the youngest two are just starting to walk.

I believe the one I have is also based on an original? It was built by Ron Scott here in Oregon for a friend of mine.
