Barry Darr barrels were choked and button rifled so there was no cutter wear. Apologize if off original subject and just wanted to share it was and has been done.
Newer methods have produced choked barrels, and not by accident. But the old single head cutters just did it as a part of the method used.
Barry also did what was as close to Schoyen rifling as anyone has ever done.
