222 Rimmed is too short, if you recall, a 7mm TCU is made from a 223 case and a rimmed version is straight forward to make using 5.6 x 50R brass. These cases can also be used to make 32 Miller Shorts.

Too many choices..lol. The 7mm TCU got me thinking about a 7 BR (for which I have cases left over from shooting handgun silhouette).

Anyone have or may an 1885 Rimless extractor? I know they made one for the 30/06 1885s they built but have never seen one.

I had a #1 re-chambered for 7mm International Rimmed - basically a 30-30 necked down - long neck retained.

Is there a readily supply of 5.6x50r brass at a reasonable price available?

Here's something like the 300 blackout,  it's a 8.15 x 24r  If this works, here's a pic,  38 special, into a 30 luger die, trimmed, fireformed. I have a Buchel target pistol in this caliber made in 1908,

Out here in Australia, the answer is surprisingly, yes. I am lucky enough to have several hundred RWS cases and some loaded ammo. Plus I can buy Sellior and Bellot cases without any issues.

Yet something as straight forward as 30 40 Krag are hard to find.

Very neat! Im kind of looking at the 300 Blackout as a modern 32 20. Whilst I have 32 20 brass, 300 Blackout is easier to get from my local gun shop and less expensive!

I am a bit slow at times and I only realised that I can make a rimmed 300 Blackout. Tried a .357 mag case as the initial exercise, yes the case is too short but as proof of concept it is fine. attached is a picture of a 5.6 x 50R, .357 Maximum, 357 Mag run in to the FL die and a 300 Case for interest.

What about running in the reamer longer and making a 300 blk rimmed magnum.
Well a 30-30 Wesson type case from the 357 max cases.
