	And because it's small, when you do get tired of it, that match barrel can be rechambered to a number of larger cartridges, giving it a second life!

	From there you go to .30-30. Then .30-40 Krag, then if there's any life left in the barrel go to .30-06. Then if THAT doesn't please youu there's always the big belted magnums.

	OK have purchased a No.1 Ruger in 17 Ackley Hornet, with dies and 10x Zeiss scope. Ordered my 300 Blackout reamer from Dave Mason Precision Reamers yesterday. The No1. should arrive sometime over the next week and I expect the reamer to arrive in about a month. Will play with the 17 in the mean time as I have numerous Berger, Hornady and Hammet 17 pills of various weights left over from a 17/222 Sako bolt gun I had many years ago. The fun begins

	Just picked up a 16" Reeder Bbl in 30 Raptor, it use 204 Ruger brass and wears a neck of about an 1/8". Shoots very sweet. Still tweaking loads as Gary doesn't offer mid-weight load data

	Have had the 7mm TCU in the back of my mind for several years, even considered a rimmed version for an 1885 and BP (which is still on the cards due 3 1885s Actions currently sitting in the safe) Currently trying to pool some cash to purchase barrels in various calibres to have on hand

	wouldn't a .222-based round be too short to become a true 7TCU? I had a .222 rifle resurrected to .223 when the throat got a bit tatty. Just got lengthened for the newer round.

	222 Rimmed is too short, if you recall, a 7mm TCU is made from a 223 case and a rimmed version is straight forward to make using 5.6 x 50R brass. These cases can also be used to make 32 Miller Shorts. Too many choices..lol. The 7mm TCU got me thinking about a 7 BR (for which I have cases left over from shooting handgun silhouette). Anyone have or may an 1885 Rimless extractor? I know they made one for the 30/06 1885s they built but have never seen one.

	Bob Snap made the rimless extractors for Martini's - interesting game to 'fit' them but they do work well.
