Are you taking your meds like you're supposed to? Well I'm impresses. But at the same time am torn between  awe and concern for your safety. It would be an instant hit You Tube video when fired. Honestly though am having trouble with the cartridge designation numbers. Looks like they may have gotten jumbled around somehow.
The cartridge case looks like it is the same O.D. as the barrel.  But all in all an interesting thought provoking piece of hardware.
You know I assume that TRex is on the endangered list so it may not get a lot of use. I have an"interesting" gun buddy that would love the challenge of developing some loads for it. His technique is to start at max and work up.

Actually I like it, especially love the bn feature.

LOL

Enjoy

If I remember correctly, aside from actually appearing on at least one company cartridge board, this infamous Winchester "cartridge" was supposedly chambered in roughly a half-dozen "cape guns" for Kirkwood Bros. Sporting Goods of Boston.  Unfortunately, the stories can't agree as to whether the base gun fitted with a partially rifled barrel was an 1887 or an 1897 shotgun or even whether it was a 12 or 10 gauge.  And that alone is proof enough for me that the story is just a persistent firearms fantasy.

Yes.12 gauge brass. Martini threads opened up a bit and I used a rather fine thread. All chamber, die and bullet mold work  was done with a boring bar. Extractor was easily opened up. Velocity and trajectory like a .22lr. A big problem with this critter is the noise! Gas must bounce off the back end of the bullet when it leaves..  Yes, 70 cal., 150 grains of black powder and 900 grain lead. I use smokeless. Winchester dropped the ball, so..

Let me see, detached retina's,busted collar bones and shell shock. Looks like fun to me as long as someone else shoots it. In any event well done. Frank

Brings to mind the old jape about the 4-bore elephant guns Her Majesty's explorers used in Africa.

.....the gun fires....

.....the elephant goes down...the Englishman goes down

.....whoever gets up first is the winner.

.....if neither gets up, the natives divide the spoils and go home.

This round was produced By winchester for the M87 lever action shotgun. Based on a 12 Gage Brass shotshell. to compete with British doubles.   They were made and  the barrel was supposed to be Paradox. I am assuming this was made on a Magtech 12 gage

I made the bullet mold. I think that the bullet design might not be optimal for this application and intend to change it. I would appreciate comments as to criterion. I don't know for cast bullets.
