	Has anyone here subjected a Martini Cadet to this chambering?

	I built one several years ago for coyote on a Martini Cadet action. It is very accurate with Sierra 69 grain MK and 2520 powder. I barreled it with a faster twist barrel for heavier bullets with the thoughts of trying it for whitetails in the woods with Nosler Bonded Performance bullets.

	I have a Martini cadet action chambered in 5.6X50R. It is a nice round for this size action. The only problem is brass for this round is hard to find. I also have another rifle chambered in 6.5X50R. Same round just with a 6.5 bullet. This is also a good cadet round. The one I like best is a 357 Maximum brass necked down to .30 caliber using a 300 Blackout die. I shot a nice Pronghorn at 200 yds. with this one.

	Grafs says they have Sellier & Bellot ammo and Huntingtons may have RWS brass.

	Beautiful rifle, Sam. Thanks for the replies. Those of you shooting this cartridge in Martini Cadets, did you have to alter the feed ramp in the block in order to make the turn into the chamber?

	gnoahhh, No modification to the breech block other than bushing the firing pin. I used a dovetail plate across the face of the breech block retained by 2, #3-56 SHCS. The only time I have had to increase the radius in the breech block was on a 25-35 Ackley Improved. The client went with the Ackley to reduce case stretch. He had no signs of excessive pressure with the Ackley loads but found best accuracy with near maximum standard 25-35 loads.

	Hi All, some years ago I had two single shot rifles made up in the 5.56X50R Mag necked up to 6mm or 6X50R Mag. One was a Martini for a friend and the other on a Falling Block Works action for my self. The Martini worked out real well with no modification to the breech block. Both rifles are tack drivers and DEATH to Coyotes and wild Pigs. I could not be happier with mine. I have the reamer should some member decide to make one up. 	Sorry, a little late to this game. Yes, I have one that is a 22LR take-off barrel from a 12/15 chambered for this cartridge. I have to load lighter/shorter bullets that I size to .223" for the tighter bore and slower twist. No change necessary to the feed ramp, but it chambers easier if you hold the lever all the way down. Great round - MOA with 35-40 grain bullets using 23 +/- grains of IMR-4895 or 21 +/- grains of IMR-4198. Reed's Ammo usually has the S&B rounds for sale on Gunbroker. I reload by sizing the body with Lee 357 magnum (no lube-pin removed) and 22 cal neck sizer and anneal every 3-4 firings. Seem to be lasting a pretty long time.

	Chance to show off my 5.6x50R with a 25½ octagonal barrel and a one in twelve twist. Six power Lyman which gives you a little more room to load. Also have a Holland & Holland Rook rifle in this calibre as well.

	I have a Dakota Model 10 in 5.6x50R. It’s a very capable & easy to load cartridge. I use RWS ammunition & reload the resulting cases plus I’ve a stock of S&B cases. Both the RWS and S&B cases are for small rifle primers of course but the flash hole in the RWS cases I have are smaller than standard (I have two different batches of RWS cases & it applies to both). They are not as small a diameter as in say a .220 Russian / PPC case but small enough that the decapping pin in my Triebel dies will stick or even fail to pass through. The pin in my RCBS dies is just a fraction smaller in diameter than Triebel use & it works ok in the RWS cases albeit only just. I use N135 powder with 52 grain Barts bullets or 60 grain Nosler Partition (depending on intended use). Regards Russell
