Steve Durren is without doubt one of the most talented individuals in this Country. When it comes to being expensive it ends up being less than buying a new bass boat and all of the tackle required to be able to go out and to fish with it.

I am sure a number of us would love to see a closeup of the action etc. It appears to be quite a rifle. 8.15X46R ?

Hey, that's my new Gerstner shooting box.
That gun was on the cover of the Single Shot Rifle Journal Vol. 55, No. 5, Sept, Oct. 2001
I copied the action from one in deHaas' book. He called it, "Another German Single Shot" I have since learned it's a System Nimrod.

Steve,
I like the idea of a Gerstner for a shooting box... have a couple for  some of the specialty micrometers and small tooling - mostly the gun tooling I've made.  So now the hunt is on.

I studied a "another German Falling Block" a few years back, never got around to it.  The modified de Haas firing pin vs. the original drawing of the hammer/firing pin looks to be a substantial improvement - did yours have this change?

Gerstner has those shooting boxes on sale right now for just over $400. If you want one better order it before they go back to the regular price!

Also those boxes like Mr. Durren's are made specifically as shooting boxes; they are not just cut-down Gerstner machinist chests.
