PID Temperature Controller

I would like to get a PID Controller for my lead pots. I know I saw some posts about them a while ago, but I can't seem to find them. I would rather buy one than make it myself. Any information would be appreciated.

If doing yourself, you want something like this:

The thermocouple it comes with is not useful for a pot. I used an Omega KT-SS-18G-12. Type K.

Have a friend who has been looking for an RCBS Easy Melt and told me a couple of days ago that they are out of stock everywhere he has looked. Likely made in China, so no surprise.

There is a guy on the cast boolits web site that sells them. They work great. I paid $125 for mine. I have 4 pots I use it for. Just remember to take out the probe when you're done so you can use it for the next pot or leave it in if you're going to fire up the same pot again.

You could buy thermocouples for each pot and add the two prong plugins instead. Just be sure to get the plug ends that are for the type of thermocouple (probably k type) thermo couples are cheap on ebay
