Phil, I used a IPCO graphite grease wad over the corn meal, if I had a hot glue gun that would be better as the IPCO wad and the cornmeal made mess in the bore.  Any wad to keep the cornmeal from spilling into the chamber will work fine.

I just flattened part of an old lube stick between two sheets of wax paper using a rolling pin and just pressed the thin lube down over the case mouth and Cream of Wheat. I prefer COW to corn meal as it doesn't stink as much on firing and it has a scouring effect that keeps the barrel clean.

Cream of Wheat and thin layer of paraffin wax to seal case mouth. Melt a small amount in pan, let cool. And hold upside down and press case mouth up into wax. mh

I use 2 grns of bulleye
A wad from a drink coaster
Enough toilet paper shoved in firm to fill and another wad on top.

This is to Fire form 310 cadet cases from 32-20 cases.

Note the neck is flared to rub on the chamber when seated which help keep it aligned.
Clean the bore regularly with Ed’s red.
This works for me in a Martin cadet.
Your mileage may vary thou.

Barrabruce- good advice- thanks very much- forming cases without bullets is a new and interesting experiment for me and I look forward to it.
regards, Phil
