	All things equal, is a pre-war Lyman Targetspot with 4 point rear Mount and Winchester Dimple bases worth a premium over the newer Super Targetspot models? Strubles Scopes book says 1934 to 1939? Thanks Flatlander

	Mostly because of it's relative rarity. In part, because Lyman would uprade your Targetspot to a super Targetspot, and many of course did, but mostly attributable to to the length of it's production. In my estimation the Super Targetspot is, by far, the better of the two, given a much wider choice of magnification and other features that came about as time marched on. ,The Junior and Targetspot scopes were only available in 8x or 10x, the Super Targetspot was available up to 30x.

	I suggest you hang a price tag on it and run it up the flagpole (so-to-speak) to see if there is any interest. IMO, unless there are a few old scope collectors on this site, the readers of this forum would pass on a pre-war TargetSpot over a Super TargetSpot if the pre-war scope carries a premium price. Whether it's Schuetzen or BPCR, most of us on this forum are shooters. Good luck and I hope you find the right buyer for your collectible scope.

	Being pre-war it has no coatings on the B&L lenses so I assume slightly darker. Newer STS is better for actual use. May be something for a Winchester 70/52 collector. Has been in my closet for at least 25 years. Flatlander
