C&H bench priming w/auto feed

I guess I'm on a priming tool kick.
While looking through my piles of stuff acquired though old estates, I found this C&H bench priming tool.  It was missing the primer tubes and priming rams as well as a way to retain the shell holder.
At first I thought it was going to accept standard RCBS parts.  However, they were only the starting point.
Here it is, up and running but not yet permanently mounted.

I used RCBS priming stems that come from either a ram or bench primer tools and shortened them 0.235

I had some old RCBS primer tubes that fit perfectly but the hole for the clip was in the wrong place.  I could have just drilled another hole, but if you put the clip in the wrong hole, the tube wouldn't be fully inserted and that would result in a primer spill.  The solution was to shorten the tube and redrill

I'm not sure what C&H used to retain shell holders, but I had a extra RCBS retaining clip.  I spotted and drilled a hole for that.
The priming arm was binding against the shell holder so I milled .025 clearance.
I did a test run of 20 pieces of 40-65 brass and it worked perfectly other than I was just holding it in a vise.
It just needs a little detailing and permanent mounting to be put to work.  It was a simple little project and I was glad to bring it back to life

Well, here it is all prettied up and mounted on a piece of scrap 2x4 so it stays out of the way and clamps to the bench.  It also provides a place to store the small & large tubes and rams.
I like it better than the RCBS bench priming tool.
PS.  The target is behind the tool in the picture so you don't see the disaster on the bench Shocked

Scott,
Thanks for sharing that.
I recently went to a Frankford Arsenal hand held type after my ancient Lee tools all gave it up, it's nice.  I had a RCBS bench model that I use to use and for some reason I can't recall??? got away from it... I like the features of the CH and your little mods, I think I still have one in my mess somewhere and when I get the new cave done it'll find a place on the bench.
Greg

Wink you're suppose to share pictures of your mess...  folks on here don't miss much when you do...

Here is a little something I'm not too ashamed of, but it's messy.  My Southbend heavy 10.  I bought this flexible arm light on Amazon for $13.
It had a clip to mount it.  Removed the clip and made a strap bracket to mount under the shelf and secured the on/off switch.  Not very pretty but I can see great

As we get older more light is always welcome.

And as Greg said, "folks on here don't miss much".

Tell us more about the speed controller on the wall.
