Working up some 38 Extra Long (formed from much more available 357 max brass).

Starting with 190 gr round nose and 5.5gr of Unique; then I'll try the 220 gr. semi wadcutters.

Ruger #3 with Canjar trigger.

100yds shouldn't be bad, but 200 is an bigger unknown.

alloy is the easy answer:  20:1

lube is easy but not much of an answer - it is a quart or so batch that started with the original Alox, a bit of bees wax, some carnauba wax, some anhydrous lanolin, a little ATF and likely something that I've long forgotten.  When it runs out, I'll take a serious look at something else.  I dip lube and strip the excess lube off with a push through sizer.

38 Extra Long??? Is that the same as 38 Ballard Extra Long? - I can't find any other Extra Long. How long are the cases? 

I am curious because I acquired a Pedersoli Creedmoor Rolling Block in .357 Magnum, and discovered that the lead is ridiculously long. It's not a manufacturing error - the chamber dimensions match CIP values, which seem to be a result of optimization for pistol/revolver shooting.

So I made up some cartridges with the bullets seated out as far as I felt would be stable (1 caliber length of bullet in the case) and the rifle performed much better.

I really wanted to have a "small-bore" BPCR, and the cartridge I have now is getting closer to the linear dimensions of the 38 Ballard Extra Long. Bullet size is, alas, still the ridiculous pseudo-.38 a.k.a .357. Let's call it a .357 Long-ish.

Hence my interest in what you are doing, and the wish to learn more.
