Dual diameter grease groove bullet question

If the bore diameter of a barrel is 0.369, what diameter would you specify the front bore riding section for use with smokeless powder and 20:1 alloy?  Looking at a straight bore riding length of about 0.300 long from the end of the taper to the start of the ogive.  The rifle is a rolling block so not much camming action to seat the loaded case.  The rear of the bullet must be no larger than 0.379 to chamber without neck turning.  Thanks.  Tom

I have been using bore riding bullets with good results lately and I usually spec the riding section at plus one or two thousandths over bore diameter. I can push them home with my fingers. ratseye

Yep, just over is good. Remembering if they get it wrong, it's hard to size the front half of a bullet.
