Maybe Harry was told to take that cigarette out of his mouth.  Also notice how badly Harry needs a trim and worn his clothes are, especially his shoes.  In his heyday he always looked quite dapper.   Of course, by the '30s the Schüetzen game wasn't what it once was either.

Yes, at that time I'm told Pope and Hubalek were not friends. Pope had taken Hubalek under his wing, and then Hubalek went out on his own building and selling his services. Pope considered it treasonous, and broke their friendship. Surprised Pope even stood by Jr., or near Sr.
