Since these don't show up very often, I thought this might be of interest. I sold this rifle some years ago and have been sorry ever since.  Recently I was able to buy it back even though I am no longer actively collecting.  Caliber 32-20, 28" barrel, optional Lyman sights, single-set trigger and d&t for two lengths of Stevens scopes.  No blocks were present when I first acquired it, so Steve Earle made a set of Lyman blocks with Stevens hole spacing so I could use one of my Lyman scopes.

Rifle appears near new in every respect. Barrel and bottom tang numbers match. Perfect bore, wood is still proud of the metal and neither the barrel or receiver show any signs  of re-polishing.  If it is a restored piece it was a super professional job.

An amazing example of a very scarce rifle...I don't blame you for buying it back, it's a time capsule!

Thanks for posting these pics, I've promised my wife I will build her a similar rifle once we're settled again and I have machinery.

Wow! ... what a beautiful rifle. I've always looked for a clean survivor like yours.

All of his original Stevens single shot rifle collection were just as nice and some were also very unique. He is a dear friend and there were many a time he would call me when he picked up another one to come by and look at.
